The history of railway bridging at Fairfield-Mabey dates back to the construction of the Wye Bridge in Chepstow in 1849. The company has supplied and erected over 1,000 railway bridges since that time.
Fairfield-Mabey has extensive experience of planning erection, protective treatment and other site works to ensure that these are completed within the allotted possession duration.
The company's 250m x 30m trial erection facility is particularly suited to large structures or bridges involving heavy components such as precast concrete cill units. Fairfield-Mabey is happy to look at varying its scope of works on a project by project basis (eg by adding off site deck waterproofing to its supply package) to ensure that project risks are successfully managed and to provide complete flexibility in its clients purchasing requirements.
