Fairfield-Mabey entered the monopile market in 2000 with the supply of a number of monopiles to the port of Holyhead. The company has been involved in a number of contracts since that time, many of which have been on a repeat business basis with satisfied customers.
Fairfield-Mabey has all the necessary experience to carry out the fabrication and protective treatment of such structures including: CADCAM modelling; CNC plate profiling, drilling and marking; management of plate bending partners; plate welding using the submerged arc process; and in-house protective treatment facilities.
For the onshore wind turbine tower market, Fairfield-Mabey has extensive experience of the transportation of over-weight, over-length and over-width loads to site, and of the issues relating to the erection of such components using large mobile cranes. These couple with the company's flexible approach to the scope of works it is prepared to undertake to make Fairfield-Mabey the ideal steelwork supply partner for such projects.
